To the Museo del termalismo antico And del territorio
a photography contest to tell the story of the Euganean Hills

After the success of the first edition, the Pencil association – which manages the Museo del termalismo antico And del territorio on behalf of the Municipality of Montegrotto Terme –, organize a  photography competition to tell the beauty and history of the Euganean Hills. Divided into three themes—"ruins and villas," "squares and markets," and "paths and geology"—the competition is free and open to everyone, whether photography enthusiasts or professionals.

The photos received will be included in three photography exhibitions set up in the museum spaces and integrated into the visit itinerary: the first dedicated to "ruins and villas" from April to June, the second "squares and markets" in August and the third "paths and geology" from October to December.

How to participate

To participate in the photo contest, simply send your photo to  info@museodeltermalismo.it  together with the  release duly completed (which you can find at the end of the page), specifying:

• theme for which the photo is nominated;
• location of the shot;
• title;
• name and surname of the author.

The shots can be taken with any device (camera, smartphone, or tablet), in color or black and white, and must be submitted by email in a maximum of 3 for each participant (one per theme). They must also comply with the following: characteristics:

• minimum file size 8 megapixels (4:3 aspect ratio);
• property of the person presenting them;
• no copyright symbols, logos or other trademarks;
• no layout other than the requested size.

Photographs must be submitted no later than 24 hours on the following days:

• Ruins and villas –March 31, 2025
• Squares and markets –  July 31, 2025
• Trails and geology –  September 30, 2025

If the number of photographs received per theme exceeds 15, a vote will be held through the museum's social media channels (Facebook And Instagram) will guide the selection of the photographs that will be displayed in the exhibitions; a video shown inside the Museum will include all the other photographs. The printed photographs can be collected from the photographers at the end of the exhibitions. Additionally, the photograph from each exhibition that receives the most likes on our Facebook page will receive a small gift.
