The first museum in Europe entirely dedicated to thermal waters, over the years the Museum has welcomed thousands of visitors and tourists, offering guided tours, themed events and meetings, and workshops for children.
Five years ago, today, May 14th, our museum opened its doors with the aim of telling the story of one of the most precious and identifying resources of the Padua area: thermal water, highlighting how spa treatments are inextricably linked to the history of the area. Today, Museo del termalismo antico e del territorio celebrates its fifth anniversary, confirming its ability to preserve and enhance the historical and cultural heritage of the Euganean spas.
The first museum in Europe entirely dedicated to thermal resources, in recent years the Museum has welcomed thousands of visitors and tourists, offering guided tours, events and thematic meetings, workshops aimed at the little ones: all initiatives that have always kept accessibility and inclusion at the center, an aspect of the museum's DNA. Among the many goals achieved, theentry into the prestigious “UNESCO World Network of Water Museums” (WAMU-NET), the application won for the "Small Museums" competition.
All this thanks to the collaboration with local institutions, professionals, and organizations involved in projects that have helped transform the museum into a cultural hub for residents, schools, and tourists.
This anniversary is also an opportunity to thank all the people who, over the years, have visited the Museum and helped make it a vibrant, open, and shared place.
