In a video, a poetic journey between deep waters, ancestral microorganisms and psyche.

Saturday 17 October at 6pm, at Museo del Termalismo antico e del territorio, the multimedia artist Sara Bonaventura will present the artistic project “Thermal Alchemy”: fifteen minutes of video images that offer a poetic reflection on the profound connection between water, ancestral microorganisms, the environment, and the human psyche.

After the greeting of Richard Mortandello, Mayor of Montegrotto Terme, the artist will illustrate the work and the project's objectives. "Thermal Alchemy" is part of the twenty-five European residencies of the platform S+T+Arts Aqua Motion, which sees among its partners the UNESCO Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET), of which the Montegrotto museum is member since 2025. The one hosted by the Municipality of Montegrotto Terme is one of three artistic residencies co-financed by WAMU-NET and S+T+Art.

Bonaventura's work is the result of a design path started in autumn 2025 with an initial phase of scientific research and site inspections in the Euganean Hills area, to then reach and involve numerous Paduan entities including, in addition to the museum itself, the Y-40 The Deep Joy pool, the Pietro d'Abano Thermal Study Centre and the University of Padua.

All that remains is to join us in Via Enrico Fermi 1 in Montegrotto Terme, to discover the profound connection between water and life, starting with the composition of the Euganean thermal waters. Participation in the event is free, but registration is required at the following link: https://www.eventbrite.it/e/biglietti-thermal-alchemy-2002616869967. Finally, you are invited to stay for a final aperitif.
